Reliable and highly trained employees are a must when it comes to ensuring security on public transport.

Anyone interested in working for Securitrans has to meet the following requirements:
	He/she must have learned a trade,
	have a class B driver's licence,
	an excellent command of the language in the area of deployment and preferably of other languages as well,
	be willing to work shifts and on weekends,
	be physically and mentally fit with an unimpaired sense of hearing and sight,
	have an unblemished record and orderly finances,
	be able to work in a team.

The ideal age upon recruitment is between 20 and 30. Women are welcome in all areas.

The additional requirements for railway police recruits are as follows:
	They must be Swiss citizens,
	be fully trained police officers,
	have a good general education,
	be computer literate and able to touch-type.

Those wishing to join the railway police should have the age of 21-35 years old when they begin their course of training.

Those who complete their training will be sworn in as police officers at cantonal level and henceforth carry a federal certificate of proficiency.

The additional requirements for security guards at railway installations are as follows:
	They must be Swiss citizens or have a C residence permit.

The theoretical training covers the various risks and hazards, legal issues, personal identity and body checks, procedures for raising the alarm, conflict management and communication.

The practical training covers first aid, intervention, teamwork and patrols with a group leader.

Security guards for railway installations can obtain a certificate of proficiency as a "Security and Surveillance Specialist".

The additional requirements for our lookout officers are as follows:
	They must be Swiss citizens or have a C residence permit.

The theoretical training is provided by SBB, while the practical training is acquired on the job. Upon completion of their training, the recruits are awarded an official lookout officer’s certificate.
